Breeding, the size of your aquarium, and the care you provide all contribute to the size of your giant betta.

How to Care For Giant Betta Fish?

Caring for these big bettas is pretty much the same as caring for standard bettas. But we must consider their ultimate size when choosing a fish aquarium. The tank for a lone giant betta should be at least 5 gallons. The rule of thumb for just about all aquarium fish is at least 1 gallon per 1 inch of fish. Water should always be treated with a water conditioner before placing it in your betta tank. An aquarium heater is recommended for bettas to keep the water temperature within the ideal range. Just like standard bettas, male giant bettas should be housed alone or with compatible species of fish in a larger tank.
